Those who’ve trained with Laurence share the common opinion that he is a professional person who above all else, values each of his players. His history speaks toward being a successful leader, but to those around him he comes across as a genuine winner who can take a group of players to the finish line.
Laurence’s coaching accolades are numerous, but he credits his coaching education to having the good fortune of learning valuable nuances of the game from many top soccer authorities. When asked, he indicated that his most cherished time was spent under the mentorship of Anson Dorrance (i.e. the legendary 1996 Women’s World Cup Champion Coach also credited with winning an unprecedented 21 National Championships at UNC).
Claiming his own distinctive education and development program for soccer, Laurence brings a fresh, new and unique approach to teaching soccer techniques, skills and tactics. With his keen acumen for Match Analysis, Winnipeg Juventus is well known for adapting specific tactics to suit each opponent.

Sean Sylvestre’s playing career starting like that of most goalkeepers….. being the only person willing to stand in the goal with limited padding while other players hammered soccer balls at you. During his playing career, Sean was fortunate enough to capture a national bronze medal in 1998 as a member of the Kilcona Impact followed by a national gold medal in 2002 as a member of the Sons of Italy Lions Soccer Club.
In 2003, Sean began his coaching career in the youth ranks of the Bonivital Soccer Club where he was often referred to as a “Fitness Nazi” by his players and was fortunate enough to capture a national silver medal in 2006 with a female youth squad from Bonivital. In 2008, Sean began coaching alongside Laurence, where he learned that soccer was about more than just fitness. Since coaching together the two have captured a national bronze medal in 2008 with a male youth squad from Bonivital in addition to leading Winnipeg Juventus FC to the club’s first provincial championship and nationals appearance in 2011. |

Gail
Manager
|
|
|
||||||||
|
Gail has been a team manager for so long that the Juve crew dubbed her “Mama Gail” in 2011. Like many people Gail started out as a crazy soccer mom following her daughter’s youth career. However, it wasn’t long before her managing talents became recognized and Gail started managing the Premier Club teams.
She started Managing with the Bonivital Flames for a couple of years and then continued with the Phoenix Premier team. In 2011 she devoted her energies for Winnipeg Juventus. Her passion and drive to hunt down the very best deals on flights, hotels, etc. served her teams well, but her administrative capabilities are completely dwarfed by her cooking expertise.
Teams lucky enough to have Gail involved on Staff are continually wowed by her pure cooking wizardry as every year she produces gourmet meals from morning till night and right out of a hotel room to boot! Gail brings a great energy and truly unique skill set to the team and most fondly remembers winning a Silver medal at Nationals. |

Andrew
Videographer

Andrew is a true Renaissance man with multiple talents and right from the start of his involvement in the Fall of 2010, he’s proven to be a great asset to Winnipeg Juventus.
Andrew’s main role with the team is to be the video cameraman and he is on hand in the rain, heat and even the snow to capture virtually all of the team’s games and many of the unique moments occurring during travel, training and team events.
In addition to team filming, Andrew has utilized his computer programming skills to help write software code that is used for various team objectives from evaluation formulas to website widgets. One lessor realized skill that Andrew possesses is that he is a talented musician and composer. In that capacity Andrew has helped pull together some of the new musical themes that are now attached to the legacy of Winnipeg Juventus.
